This is a saying you may have heard many times, but I have learned that it is true.
As a creative, I resisted the thought that everything has to be ordered, but experience has taught me the importance of getting your ducks in a row if you want to succeed.
As a business owner, I understand the investment required to create strategically timed products, programs and services; the balancing act between working in your business and working on your business. This wisdom, gained from experience, means you won’t repeat the mistakes that I made gaining that wisdom. I know that having a plan that is on paper allows you to see exactly what is required so you can count the cost before you commit yourself. It also allows everyone you work with, your team, your board and your funders, to see your vision plainly so they can feel comfortable investing in your plan and stay on track. SYSTEMIC ADVOCACY & LE SUPERVISION
Do you need the Lived Experience perspective of mental health systems? Perhaps you have a project team that needs expertise and guidance? Or maybe you would like a fresh set of eyes that are informed to look across your processes and provide feedback? I have 8 years of experience as a mental health systemic advocate working at local, state and national levels. I am best known for identifying as a carer, having been in the position of Carer Co-Chair on the National Mental Health Consumer & Carer Forum, however, I also have a consumer experience of mental illness as a survivor of Post Natal Depression.
Hayley is available to chair meetings, facilitate consultation processes, engage in any planning processes or interrogations of the current Mental Health system and provide feedback. She is also able to provide Peer supervision one-to-one on a regular basis for other LE Systemic Advocates or Carer Peer Workers and to provide Lived Experience expertise on selection panels.
