An extract from Hayley Solich’s heart journal, entry 2 February 2020
Hush now little one. You are panicked. You are fearful. Do you not know that the rain falls and you cannot control it? It may be just a sprinkle one minute, but then it can be like a great deluge. However, you cannot control what comes upon you; you can only control your reaction to it.
You sit in a space where there has been much rain. There has been much heartache. So many confronting things. And like the person who is traveling and gets stuck in a flash flood, you are unprepared for this deluge. Consequently, you are not prepared for the fight to survive.
But you are not alone. I will always rescue you. I am your emergency service. So, do not look to others for I am your rescuer.
And when you feel that great pain inside of you, that seeks to overwhelm you, it is me who will hold you. I will carry you through. Just rest in me. Lay your head on my shoulder.
You are strong but you are also precious. You were not made to carry such heavy loads; to shoulder the burden of others. You were made to be simple, beautiful, soft and gentle. You are not who you were created to be. Let go of some of the layers. You don’t need to protect everyone anymore because you are okay. You are safe. Therefore, it is safe to let it go.
Let the dam wall break. The more you try to hold it all together, the harder that it is. You were not made to take so much. Let it go.
Feel peace enter your being as you let it go. Feel my serenity enter you. Put down your sword and shield. Rest from the fight.
Finally, I will cause you to lay down in green pastures. I will cause you to enter into times of great rest if you will come to me. Come to me with all of your burdens. Do not carry them anymore. Lay down your burdens. Lay them down and rest in me.
